Vintage rugs are usually older rugs, not necessarily antiques. They could have been in a Turkish home for years, or in some cases, the rug was produced to look vintage. Many of these rugs have a washed-out patina or wear marks. But they have the most character. Vintage rugs that can be thrown down add earthy timelessness to a contemporary vignette. Many of these rugs have geometric motifs, but in the case of Moldovan flatweaves, they can be quite floral.
