FAQs

Why is it so hot/so cold?

Our warehouses get pretty hot in the middle of August. And unfortunately most of these buildings get pretty cold in January as well. Buildings 7, 8, 9 and 10 were originally air-curing tobacco facilities. The windows were left open to allow the tobacco leaves hanging from the ceiling to cure. Needless to say, insulation was low on the list of the builder’s priorities. Please dress accordingly.

Where can I stay, eat, etc?

Your visit to Green Front is going to be a journey, so be prepared for the thrill of the trip as much as the thrill of the find. Farmville. our beautiful town, has a wide variety of wonderful options for eating, staying and just about everything else. Explore it all right here!

What is Accessories Inc?

Accessories Inc is a sister company to Green Front with separate buildings, sales, and management. Buildings 5, 12, 15 are each Accessories Inc.

How are the buildings divided?

Essentially Green Front’s multiple buildings are divided by manufacturer and price point. Check out our interactive map to find what’s where.

Mom’s shopping. What does everyone else do?

I can’t find what I’m looking for. What do I do?

Don’t give up! Take a deep breath. We recommend taking a look at our list of manufacturers and styles here. The descriptions can help point you in the direction of the style you are looking for. Our interactive map can then help you find similar styles and before you know it, you’re face to face with the pieces of your dreams. If you’re really stuck, our sales associates can talk you through available options and alternatives.

I made it. How and where do I start?

Welcome! We know it’s overwhelming. But don’t worry, you’re going to find everything you’re looking for. Where you start will be largely dependant on what’s on your wish list. Be sure to grab a Field Guide. It will help you find specific styles and manufacturers.
A sales associate can answer any questions and give directions. If you know what you want, then feel free to stride into the building of your choice like you own the place.

Are you open on Holidays?

We are open all Holidays except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. (We are not open on Sundays - Farmville location only!)

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Green Front is 100% four-legged friendly. We love meeting your furry friends, just be sure they are well trained and on a leash.

Are your facilities handicap accessible?

Due to the nature of housing our products in restored tobacco warehouses and historic downtown buildings, most of our Green Front Farmville location is not handicap accessible, with the exception of one or two buildings. Of course, we are always willing to help as much as possible.

Is there a particular day that’s best to visit Green Front?

Any time is a good time… except Sundays at our Farmville location. We’re closed on that day and if you make the drive, you’ll be disappointed.

Do I need to set up an appointment before I get there?
